Golden Plains Pharmacy Services is the long-term care division of Cooper Drug Store. Started in 2009 to meet the growing needs of our long-term care patients, Golden Plains Pharmacy Services is locally owned and operated in Augusta, Kansas. We want to improve patient outcomes and ease facilities' burdens. We care about our communities, we are here to help you!

Multiple Dispensing Options
We want to make it as easy as possible to take medications at the right dose and the right time, which is why we offer multiple compliance packaging options based on the patient's specific needs: traditional packaging, blister packs, and multi-dose strip packaging. They are designed to help keep residents safe, reduce medication errors, aid nursing staff in administration, and maintain regulatory compliance. Each order is packaged for individualized dosage and cross-checked for interactions and allergies.
Medication Delivery
We know the importance of having the medications you need for your residents available when you need them. We offer delivery so that you can count on consistent service with minimal hassle for your staff. Depending on certain factors, we may deliver daily Monday through Saturday for FREE.

Billing Assistance
For facility staff, families, and residents, we take the burden of insurance questions off your shoulders. We have dedicated staff available to directly answer questions daily.
Because of our experience, we increase satisfaction, decrease costs, bill insurance plans directly, coordinate with prescribers to ensure residents’ medications are covered, obtain pre-authorizations, and initiate refills.

An important part of helping residents stay adherent to their medication regimen is making sure they understand what they are taking. We will work with you, your residents, and their families to ensure everyone has a thorough understanding of how, when, and why to take each medication.
